CEI was selected as master developer and asset manager for the University of Mary Washington Foundation's redevelopment of the Park & Shop Mall into Eagle Village, located across U.S. Route One from campus. Construction financing was arranged through Bank of America. The development delivered a 624-bed student housing building, 36,000 SF office and 30,000 SF retail mixed-use building, 540-space garage, and a gateway pedestrian bridge connecting the project to the main campus. The project budget was met and the schedule was hit — the Foundation celebrated with a banner on the building at completion. A 93-key Hyatt Place was subsequently completed as a final phase.
